3 Days Through Snow, Wine & City Charms
Travel dates: March 1–3 | Curated by One Click
Earlier this March, the One Click team embarked on a carefully curated 3-day getaway to Georgia, escaping the fast-paced rhythm of Dubai for a destination known for its history, hospitality, and dramatic winter landscapes.
Despite the cold, Georgia welcomed us with warmth, charm, and unforgettable experiences, all seamlessly packed into a short, well-planned itinerary.
March 1st – Wine Country & Scenic Hilltops
We arrived early morning at Kutaisi Airport. After checking into our hotel in Tbilisi, we kicked off the trip with a visit to the Old Wine Factory in Kakheti a Georgia’s renowned wine region.
Here, we explored the history and craftsmanship of Georgian winemaking, sampling a variety of local wines from dry reds to sweet whites and took home a bottle of our favourite.
The afternoon took us to the pictures que Sighnaghi Estate, often referred to as the “City of Love”. Perched atop a hill with panoramic views, this charming town served as the perfect backdrop for a hearty lunch and another round of in-house wine tastings.
On the way back, we stopped at a quirky local bus café/bar in Tbilisi. With lively Georgian music, friendly locals, and a relaxed atmosphere, it was the perfect way to unwind — even if one of us had a not-so-graceful moment stepping off the bus!
March 2nd – Reservoir Views, Fortresses & Snow-Capped Peaks
Day two was dedicated to the natural and historical beauty just outside Tbilisi.
We started at the Zhinvali Reservoir, a peaceful spot known for its pristine waters and mountainous surroundings. From there, we continued to the Ananuri Fortress, a 17th-century architectural marvel offering a glimpse into Georgia’s feudal past. We also enjoyed a short horse ride, adding a rustic charm to the experience.
The highlight of the day was the Kobi–Gudauri Cable Car ride, gliding between the snowy peaks of the Caucasus Mountains. At the summit, we enjoyed a freshly grilled chicken BBQ, paired with local beer and breathtaking alpine views.
The day ended with a late return to our hotel, tired but fulfilled.
March 3rd – Tbilisi’s Culture & Cityscape
Our final day was all about exploring the heart of Tbilisi.
We began with a scenic boat ride on the Mtkvari River, offering views of the city’s diverse architectural mix. The experience included complimentary wine and a relaxing pace, perfect for a winter morning.
Next, we took the Rike Park cable car up to the iconic Mother of Georgia statue, where panoramic views of the capital made for memorable photo opportunities. A local entertainer even added charm with an impromptu rendition of “Mera joota hai Japani” song to show their love to Indian culture and songs. It was certainly a delightful moment of connection.
Our walking tour continued through the Love Lock Bridge, Marjanishvili Square, and finally, the monumental Chronicles of Georgia, a towering structure that narrates the country’s rich history through stone carvings.
Bollywood Film enthusiasts may recognise it from a Nora Fatehi music video shot at the location.
Conclusion
Though short, this 3-day itinerary offered a rich blend of culture, nature, cuisine, and local experiences — showcasing why Georgia is an ideal winter escape, even for a quick trip.
